Press Report 11th October 2019

Steve Levy (187) maintained his perfect 5 out of 5 by dismantling James Fowler (106) in clinical fashion. James Schofield (148) showed he also means business by outsmarting Alan Davies (106) in a tricky endgame. Phil McConnell (118) was fortunate to scrape a half point against some rock-solid play from Cliff Peach (104). Ben Wilkinson (141) prevailed in a swashbuckling battle with Trevor Hurt (96) to remain in touching distance with the top of the table. Steve Dickinson (160) won a tricky game against Richard Thomas (70). David Archer (166) and Denis Cowley (184) went toe to toe. After they both missed good chances a draw was agreed. Barry Sweetman (60) had a cracking week by first beating Richard Thomas (70) and then knocking Arthur Doble (93) out of the Cookworthy Cup to progress to the Last 16.

With the Division 4 team away at Teighmouth on Tues (8th) and Brixham visiting next Thursday (10th) for a Rapidplay match, and the internal matches heating up, the season is well underway.
