With South Hams Chess Club players adjusting to playing online at Chess.com it is throwing up some interesting results. Steve Dickinson is storming ahead in the Homan League winning all three of his first three games against the top players at the club. Last Thursday night saw him beat David Archer rated 30 ecf points higher than Steve. Club champion Steve Levy is back to his winning ways beating Phil McConnell putting him on 2 points. Other results saw Ken Ashby draw against James Fowler, Tony Tatam beat Richard Thomas and Clifford Peach drew against Alan Davies.

In the club's knockout Cookworthy Cup Phil McConnell beat Ken Ashby which was played on another evening.

Two South Hams players Tony Tatam & Clifford Peach have also been playing in the 4 National Chess Leagues congresses. In the 7 round Autumn Congress after 2 rounds Tony is on maximum 2 points with 2 wins, while Clifford is on 1 point with 2 draws. Tony & Clifford also play for Plymouth in the very tough 4 National Chess League in which Plymouth are still looking for their first points, having lost to teams from Nottingham & Hammersmith. In the next round they have their toughest match yet against a team from Redbridge.
