I have seen Roy win from lost games many times, he plays on when I would have resigned a long time ago, everything has been said that I can think of saying, I think Ken summed it up, it was good watching

Yes, those 13th and 14th moves are weird, but it turned out to be a fantastic watch. And, having been +9 only moments before, now I know why Roy continued to seek the stalemate as long as he did. Seems to me guys in David we have another streetfighter at the club!

A game with some really strange moves!

First strange move: 13. Bxf7 Roy obviously felt the material sacrifice was worth it, but I personally struggle to see how.

Second strange move: 14. ... Raf8 I would have expected David to preserve his rook - but he seems happy losing a rook for a knight in exchange.

Third strange move: 30. Rxe8. Roy is happy to give up a rook for a knight and a pawn. Shredder gives White an easy win with 30. R8c7.

According to Shredder, after 31. ... Re7 Black can't prevent White's c pawn from queening. Roy's line was fine (with a lead of +9) until 35.b7. 35. Qc7 would have led to White having a queen and 5 pawns against a bishop and 4 pawns.

This is a game that could have gone either way!
