Corona RapidPlay League 2020-21

The Corona RapidPlay League is a summer league to provide members with an opportunity to play friendly but competitive chess during the break before the start of the 2021-22 season in September. It is an all-play-all-twice Rapidplay competition, with time controls of 25 minutes plus 10 seconds per move. It is envisaged that most games will be played online using the chess.com website, but if both players prefer their game can be played over the board at a member's home. Any South Hams Club member may participate; no registration is needed - just start playing games.

You can play a given opponent a maximum of twice (with colours reversed for the second game). The games in this league may be played at any time; very often players will want to play their two games against the same opponent "on the trot", but there is no requirement to do this. You arrange a game by contacting your opponent any way you like (e.g. by phone, email or using the Forum). Please record your pre-arranged games on the club website, so that any members wanting to watch will know when the game is taking place. One of the players should post the result on the Forum as soon as the game is over so that Phil McConnell can record the results.

The winner will be the player with the most points at the end of Thursday 26th August; tie-break rules are the same as the for 2020-21 Homan League.
