Ken Ashby has recently been playing in a chess.com Duel Tournament (not standard group format, but one-against-one knock-out). In the second round he found himself against Yury Solomatin in a 24 hours per move game. At the beginning of the game Ken was rated 1703 as opposed to Yury being 2221. Over 500 points difference! The result should have been a foregone conclusion, but it didn't turn out that way. Ken won by sacrificing a rook for a decisive attack on Black's King with double check. Ken was white; Yury black.
Enjoy the game.
