The South Hams Rapidplay Tournament
The 10th South Hams Rapidplay Tournament will take place on Sunday 1st December 2013 at the Regal Club, Kingsbridge.
This is a graded Rapidplay event, consisting of one section and six rounds. The rate of play is 30 minutes on each clock (max 1 hour game length); clocks to be set at 5.30.
Play commences at 10.00am. Admission to the playing area will be open from from 9.15am.
South Hams Chess Club would once again like to thank Bill Patrick and his staff at the Regal Club, for their kind support of the Club and other chess events.

Conditions of Entry
- The organisers reserve the right, without giving a reason, to transfer or refuse an entry.
- All fees must be paid before play starts. Late Entries at the venue are at the discretion of the organisers; please phone first to check availability of places.
- ECF Rapidplay Grading Lists (2013) will be used to determine tournament and seeding. The current FIDE Laws of Chess will apply.
- Seeded Swiss pairings will be made by Controllers using ECFRules or computer programs based on ECF or comparable rules. Pairings between members of the same family or club etc. will be avoided, if possible, at the sole discretion of the Controller.
- If a player qualifies for more than one cash prize, he shall be paid the higher amount and the Tournament Director will decide how most fairly any balance shall be re-distributed, shortly after the end of the tournament.
- Tournament equipment may not be removed from the playing area.
- Smoking and live Mobile Phones/Pagers are not permitted in the Chess playing rooms.
- Food and drink must not be brought into the Regal Club for consumption on the premises.
- Players agree to abide by the decisions of the Controllers and accept that in all matters relating to the tournament the decisions of the organisers are final.
