Following a suggestion by David Archer, a new feature has been aded to the club website: a "forum" enabling club members to interact with one another.
The South Hams Chess Forum is accessed from the Members Area of the website. Once you have entered the forum, you can create messages (also known as "posts") on a new topic, or reply to posts left by other members on an existing topic.
Topics can be created in any of the following categories:
Judging by what has been posted so far, it seems likely that banter is going to dominate this category!
Homan League, Dunleavy League, Cookworthy Cup, Challengers League, M. Wray Shield.
News relating to the management and administration of the club. Ideas for improving the way the club is run.
Includes news of teams selected for forthcoming fixtures.
A category dedicated to the Thursday Knights.
Chatter about members' experiences in congresses, and who is attending forthcoming congresses.
A category for comments, questions and mini-tutorials on the game of chess.
Further categories may be added from time-to-time.
If you "subscribe" to a topic, or to an entire category of topics, then you will receive an email notifying you whenever a club member creates a new post under that topic or category.
Note that this is a private forum for current members of the South Hams Chess Club. It can only be accessed by members who log in at the Members Area of the website using their username and password.
