In the club’s internal internet club games on chess.com the final of the Cookworthy Cup was played to a finish after being held up due to the Covid 19 situation. It was a close and exciting final between David Archer and Steve Dickinson, David being the favourite. There was a major shock with Steve winning the first game which put the pressure on David to go for an all-out win in the second leg. He was able to come up with the goods and levelled the two match final, one apiece, so they both share the Cookworthy Cup for the next year.

Other internal internet club matches have seen surprise results from many club members. Richard Thomas had a fine double win against Clifford Peach, James Fowler had a treble of great wins against Steve Levy, David Archer and Steve Dickinson, Trevor Hurt also turned the form book upside down when he beat Phil McConnell. With all these results going on Tony Tatam still leads the main internal league a half a point ahead from Phil McConnell, closely followed by Steve Dickinson and James Fowler.
