It’s another fully packed week of games and results at the South Hams Chess Club with most games being played online. A few games are now creeping in to be played over the board. There are still no major surprise results and most games are going to form. It has seen Phil McConnell rise to 2nd in the Homan League after wins against James Fowler and the all-important top of the league clash against Chris Willcox, who also suffered his second defeat against Ben Wilkinson; Chris did luckily pick up a win against Clifford Peach.
David Archer is also returning to form with wins against Clifford Peach and Trevor Hurt, both these games being hard and closely fought. Steve Levy and Ben Wilkinson who are the only two unbeaten so far this season, still remain unbeaten; with Steve winning against Ken Ashby and Ben winning against Chris Willcox; other games played saw Alan Davies beat Arthur Doble, James Schofield winning against Tony Tatam and Richard Thomas beating Trevor Hurt. Richard is also involved in only the second draw at the club this season against Clifford Peach.
